Music has always been a big part of my life, especially because I grew up around it through my family and my mom's love for art. My taste is pretty mixed, but I love pop, rock, alternative pop, and R&B. I also love discovering smaller artists because I am obsessed with finding a new song that becomes one I can play on repeat until I am eventually tired of it. I usually choose music based on my mood, so what I listen to can change completely from one day to another. I think music is one of the easiest ways to connect a certain song with a specific memory of your life.
One of my favorite things to do is go to concerts because you get to really feel the music and feel close to the artists performing. I especially love concerts where the energy is really high and everyone around you is dancing together. I think it is one of the most beautiful things to experience. If I have the choice, I would much rather be on the floor than sitting in a seat because I love dancing with the crowd. I also love the whole experience of concerts. I love wearing an outfit that fits the vibe of the concert beforehand, as well as taking pictures and talking about the show afterward. I especially love meeting new people at concerts and connecting over the artist together.
I think my favorite thing about music is how personal it can be even when thousands of other people are listening to the exact same song. A song can remind me of a person, a place, a trip, or even a completely different version of myself from years ago. Going to concerts has also made me appreciate artists in a different way because you get to see how much emotion and work goes into performing live. I hope to keep going to concerts as I get older and discover new artists along the way. There really is something special about being surrounded by people who are all excited about the same music.
